History

1976

Seamco BVBA is established, aimed at customers in the canning industry. Seamco stands for Seaming Consultancy Company.

1987

The first agency agreement is signed with Fava Artemio, a company specialized in sorting systems.

1988

Exports outside Europe begins, with plants in Saudi Arabia and Algeria.
The agency agreement with Ronchi is signed. Over the next few years, agreements are signed with PE Labellers, Fimer, Arol, TMG, etc.

1991

A new limited liability company, Seamco NV is established.

1992

Relocation from Wommelgem to Oelegem, Seamco’s current site.

2000

Acquisition of Seamco NV by Yves Van Bavel and Isabelle Van Hool.

2001

Milestone exports to Algeria, Syria and Egypt achieved for the supply and installation of filling lines for beer, water and arrack.

Seamco is reorganized, from a product-centric to a customer-centric company focused on customer satisfaction and returning customers, with the aim of increasing that ratio from 16% to over 50% annually.

2002

The number of agencies is streamlined. The aim is to guarantee quality, reduce start-up time and to improve the after-sales service. The number of suppliers is reduced from 43 to 12. A single vendor for each function within a filling line is selected.

2003

The first major order in the brewing industry is signed with InBev.

2004

For the first time in its history, a returning customer ratio of over 55% is achieved. The customer-centric approach pays off emphasizing service, regular suppliers and qualified technicians.

2005

Version two of our website is launched.

2008

Seamco inaugurates its new environmentally-friendly office building, featuring an improved reception area for customers, better communication between employees and increased employee satisfaction.

2009

Version three of our website is launched.

2012

Sneyders  is acquired by Seamco. Besides the acquisition agreement, Peter Sneyders also signs a cooperation agreement.

2013

After the acquisition of Sneyders NV in April 2012, Seamco transforms its warehouse into a fully equipped production hall.

2014

The new corporate identity is introduced.
Seamco is a participant at the Interpack trade fair, where Sneyders’ completely redesigned linear filling machine is launched. The SCALDIS line will set a new standard for linear filling machines, aimed at filling with both standard and foaming liquids and equipped with flowmeters or pistons.

2015

First participation at the FachPack trade fair in Germany.

2016

Version four of our website is launched.

2018

Seamco acquires BP Matic, a manufacturer of filling and capping machines for pails, jerrycans, drums and IBC’s.

2019

Seamco moves to a new facility in Herentals with more space for assembly and erection of filling and capping machines and a dedicated area for Facility Acceptance Tests.
